UNAIR NEWS – The presence of foreign students at Universitas Airlangga is a proof of internationalization and an effort towards global recognition. The target to be the Top 500 world’s campus became one of the reasons to invite students from various countries in the world to study in Indonesia.
To provide complete education to foreign students, UNAIR through Airlangga Global Engagement (AGE) continues to organizes a variety of programs. One of them is by involving foreign students to participate in the activities of Community Service Program (KKN).
Head of LPM UNAIR Prof. Dr. H. Jusuf Irianto, Drs., M.Com ., said that for that matter, his unit through UNAIR Rector’s regulation, has launched KKN Community Outreach Program or known as KKN Ceria.
“This is a KKN program that we work on with AGE. So the participants are foreign students, “he explained.
Regarding location, KKN Ceria, according to Prof. Jusuf will be implemented in Jember District, East Java. Later, foreign students will be divided into five villages and wards.
“They will also be deployed in some designated areas,” he added.
Later, Prof. Jusuf added, a foreign student who attends KKN Ceria will also be accompanied by UNAIR local students. It is aimed so local students and foreign students can interact with each other and provide education.
“They (foreign students, ed) will also be accompanied by our students. So there will be interaction and mutual learning, “he concluded.
