UNAIR Islamic Economics delegates won First Place and Best Presentation in national scientific meeting at State Islamic University of Sumatra Utama, Medan. (Private Doc)

UNAIR NEWS – Delegates of Islamic Economics Universitas Airlangga  make another achievementa at national level. They often win at National Science Olympiad (Temilnas) held by FOSSEI (Forum Silahturahmi Studi Ekonomi Islam).

This year, through Temilnas held at State Islamic University of Sumatra Utama, Medan, UNAIR Islamic Economics delegation won First Place and Best Presentation. The first place was won from Olympiad category by Muhammad Indra Maulana, Irma Faikhotul Hikmah and Salma Fioren Salsabella. While Best Presentation won from paper category by Yuliandi Fikri, Fready Wijaya, and Irma Yanti.

” Alhamdulillah, the Olympiad team of Universitas Airlangga got the 1st Winner after a long struggle. And the paper team got the Best Presentation. , “said Salma Fioren Salsabella, a member of the Olympiad team who also won 1st SESO (Sharia Economic Smart Olympiad) at Bogor Agricultural Institute (IPB) in 2017 and 3rd regional scientific meeting (Temilreg) East Java in 2018.

Before the championship, the Olympic delegation succeeded in defeating teams from Tazkia Islamic Economic Institute, Hasanuddin University, Padjadjaran University, Semarang University, Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia, Gunadarma University.

The competition held 25 – 29 March was followed by all students of Indonesian universities, especially those who took Islamic Economics.

To prepare for the competition, the Islamic Economy Student Association has made preparation 1 month before.

In the Olympiad branch, there were two selection rounds in the race. First, there was a selection by working on multiple choice questions. Second, the selection of the final stage was a case study of popular essays of Al-Quran. (*)
