UNAIR NEWS – An opportunity from used well-known branded shoes is used well by Kahfi for a promising business. Evidently, from the shoe business, the Anthropology Study Program student, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR) was able to reap a profit up to 15 million per month.
The used shoes are the international brand of Adidas. The business that was named @ badkidstore from Kahfi’s idea to become entrepreneur and the existing opportunity. “Initially it was from the opportunity that have not yet existed in Surabaya. I chose this shoe because it is rarely sold in Surabaya, ” said Kahfi.
Shoes he sells, continued Kahfi, are no longer exist in Indonesia. Indonesian who want to buy, must order from abroad. However, thanks to his effort, they are available in a shoe store. For a pair of shoes, they are priced from 550 to 850 thousand rupiah.
Kahfi has a permanent store in Surabaya, located on Jl Gayungan 8, Gayungan Residence housing, No. A1, Surabaya City. Besides Surabaya, Kahfi also provide goods for customers in Malang.
Kahfi has run the business since 2015. He is more interested in creating jobs rather than looking for jobs. He admitted to have a lot of interesting experience in business. In fact, he feels that he is doing his hobby and being paid for it.
“I like Adidas brand. I used to collect them for each series. Apparently now I can make money from them, “he said. “I can go abroad as well to choose the shoes there. It’s nice to work while going on a vacation. It is joyful, “he added.
Every month @badkidstore is able to collect 300 to 500 pairs of shoes. Not only selling them in pairs, @ badkidstore also serves wholesale order. The goal is to open opportunity for people who want to resell or start a similar business.
Asked about his long-term dreams, Kahfi said that he wanted to become a distributor for @badkidstore. He also intends to open stores in 3 major cities such as Bali, Jakarta, and Jogjakarta.
“I wish I can be a distributor. So I can supply the goods for stores which sell used Adidas shoes,” said the student class 2014.
However, he wants to open a store so he could still sell them directly to customers. (*)
