UNAIR NEWS – To improve the quality of research and community service, educators, or lecturers, Universitas Airlangga through Research and Innovation Institute (LPI) conducted a dissemination event Research Guide and Community Service XII for lecturers who have and will get grant this year.
Attending on behalf of UNAIR Rector, Vice Rector III UNAIR Prof. Mochammad Amin Alamsjah, Ir., M.Si., Ph.D. opened the event. In his speech, he said that the improved quality of research and community service is expected to bring better nation’s change. Works and Innovation, he added, should continue to be made by the children of the nation.
“Indeed it will be a pride if our work and innovation can be useful and beneficial to the surrounding environment,” he said while opening the event held at Garuda Mukti Hall, Campus C UNAIR, Friday, April 13.
UNAIR invited Prof. Ocky Karna Radjasa, M.Sc., Ph.D., as Director of Research and Community Service of Ministry of Technology, Research and Higher Education as the speaker. In his presentation, Prof. Ocky said that changing guides in his period of stewardship were not solely his personal wish. The changes were, according to him, made due to changes in the regulation of the central government.
“These changes were needed so in the reporting, we can be more careful,” he explained.
Furthermore, Prof. Ocky also said that the dissemination had several goals, such as to present a new policy that is expected to increase research productivity and dedication, to provides a strategic direction intended to inmprove registered intellectual property rights (IPR).
“In addition, with this event, I hope everyone can understand that our program is an effort to reinforce research and service,” he explained. “Of course, that the goal of this program can also improve the relevance and productivity of research and community service,” he said.
