UNAIR NEWS – Alumni Association of Universitas Airlangga (IKA UNAIR) collaborates with Bank Rakyat Indonesia (BRI) through BRIZZI card co-branding. The launching of the card was held in Jakarta on Friday (2/2).
BRI Director of Consumer Handayani stated that the card is not only a marker of membership but the card can also be used for transactions.
“So, it works only as an identity, now it is an electronic card,” he said. “This is a form of response to the government for cashless society,” she added.
Meanwhile, the Head of IKA UNAIR Dwi Wahyudi revealed that with more than one hundred thousand members of UNAIR alumni, the cooperation is expected to make both parties advance together.
“We, essentially, want to grow together, especially to support banking products that we can use, “he said.
Dwi added that BRI was chosen as a partner because of several reasons. First, BRI is currently the bank that earned the largest profit. In the fiscal year as of December 31, 2017 reached more than Rp 20 trillion.
In addition, BRI bank has the largest distribution channel in the country including various products and services have been spread throughout the nation.
“This cooperation is established with the strong support and commitment from the Board of Directors of Bank BRI. Especially Bu Handayani (Director of BRI, ed) and Pak Kuswiyoto (Director of BRI) who is also alumnus of UNAIR, “said Dwi.
With the cooperation, added Dwi, branding, competitiveness, and positioning, both at domestic and international level, UNAIR is expected to increase. So it will be able to accelerate UNAIR towards Top 500 World’s rankings. (*)
