UNAIR NEWS – “We are known better for our arrest rather than prevention”. That statement was declared by Andhika Widiarto as the specialist of registration and examination of State Administration Official Wealth Report (LHKPN) in General Lecture of Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) held at UNAIR on Friday, October 13.

Andhika quite regretted that the preventive efforts of anti-graft commission was not so visible in the media. This, according to him was inversely proportional to the efforts of KPK when conducting eradication and arrests in state administration.

“We are famous for our prosecution. Our preventive measures are almost never covered by the media, ” he explained. “Because the prosecution is always great for media and that’s what the media likes,” he added.

Then Andhika explained various measures and strategies that can be done for corruption eradication. According to him, it can be done with integrated prevention and action by involving the participation of the community.

“Not only that, by optimizing the system in the network, the action and prevention can also be done,” he explained.

Regarding LHKPN, Andhika explained that the mechanism was easy. In the beginning the state officials must register by filling in the data. Next, filling out the form via e-filing. Then the participants fill in the data in e-announcement so their wealth can be publicly known.

“Transparent is easy. This is our jargon. Let’s support the clean administration free from corruption, “explained Andhika.

In the end, Andhika reminded all attendees that the period of wealth reports will end on 31 March next year.

“Do not be late. Moreover, all of you are in the structural environment, “he said. (*)
