UNAIR NEWS – Gabrielia Febrianty Shofiana should be proud of herself as she succeeded in becoming the best graduate of Faculty of Law Universitas Airlangga. She graduated with 3.94 GPA. As a student, this Banyuwangi-born woman is aware of the challenge of arranging time between lectures, organizations, committees, and competitions.
“During college, I chose to join organizations and committees and organize. In exchange for competitions, I am active in writing journals because reading and writing are my hobbies since childhood, “said the alumnus of SMAN 5 Surabaya.
Until now there have been three journals published by the daughter of Prof. Abd Shomad, Dean of FH UNAIR. First, “Philosophy, Pancasila and Modern Technology”. Second, “BPK and BPKP in Determining State Finance Loss in Order to Gain Anti-Corruption Law Efficiency of Anti-Corruption Law”. Third, “National Ombudsman of Indonesia Role and Strategies in Public Services Reform”.
Her interest in banking law led her to write a thesis entitled ” Bank Corporate Governance in Effort of Banking Crisis Response”.
“This title is chosen as a follow-up to the enactment of Law No. 9 of 2016 on the Prevention and Handling of the Financial Crisis. Since college, I am immersed and feel capable in the field of banking law. With the new law, I looked for a subject that can be used as the basis of my thesis research, “said the woman born on February 3, 1996.
At college, Gabrielia often became a delegate at various campus activities at national and international level. Most recently, she followed a student exchange to Erasmus School of Law, Erasmus University Rotterdam for one year until 2017.
This girl from Surabaya also share tips so that students can make achievement for their studies. “The most important is proactive, understand the consequences and can manage the time, understand the priorities. If it is applied, we can be an organized individual, ” she added.
