UNAIR NEWS –  Universitas Airlangga through its Academic Senate held a “Workshop on Webometrics Improvement Strategy UNAIR” at Kahuripan 301 Hall, Campus C Management Building, Universitas Airlangga, September 6 – 7, 2017. The Academic Senate invited several speakers in the hope of providing direction and improving competence the Educational Staff (Tendik) of UNAIR in writing and publication.

The material taught were how to create a good and interesting writing, create a personal blog, how to publish the writing in the blog, and how to spread the text through social media.

Enthusiasm was seen from the participants during the question-and-answer session, some of them wanted to know more the technicalities in doing good and interesting writing, how to generate ideas to make a writing. In addition to writing, they are expected to publish articles written in personal blogs that use external domains and internal blog unair.ac.id.

“The 2 day workshop is very helpful, ranging from how to create a blog until finally I have a personal blog, how we supports UNAIR reaching Top 500 WCU through webometrics improvement,” said Sefya Hayu, participant from USI FK UNAIR.

From the committee, the staff was also encouraged to start writing and updating each blog with interesting writing because on September 19, 2017, the Academic Senate as the committee will conduct an assessment of the workshop participants’ blog and reward the staff with blogs that have interesting and up to date content .

“With this 2-day training, our hope is to raise awareness of the staff as they have roles to increase UNAIR webometrics ranking by publishing on personal blog and disseminating information with inserted UNAIR backlinks in social media,” said Arfan Yusroni as the Workshop Committee. (*)
