UNAIR NEWS – Last July, UNAIR News was appreciated as one of the Top 10 Media supplying most news to the page of Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education. The appreciation was presented in the Coordinating Assembly of Human Relations held on July 27 in Bali.
All news supplied to Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education were published on http://www.dikti.go.id/. They were also published in its official social media both in Facebook and Twitter. The news covers achievements, innovation, research, education development and information in universities.
Suko Widodo as the Head of Information and Public Relations Center (PIH) Universitas Airlangga appreciated the award presented by Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education. He also encourages the staff to always accelerate the speed of the information.
“It demands us to be responsive. In digital era, speed is the important key in organization. If UNAIR wants to be a world class university, we should always update the information,” stated Suko.
In the future, Suko hoped UNAIR NEWS can update their resources because of the advancement of communication technology. UNAIR News should make adjustments on their production resources.
“In the current media development, texts, pictures, videos also develop as one unity. The tools should also be updated and human resources should be improved,” he added.
At the moment, UNAIR NEWS is growing to be a media which does not only provide information but also inspires and motivates. Therefore, the media keeps presenting positive contents.
Beside publishing news on http://news.unair.ac.id/ UNAIR News also publishes Warta Airlangga magazines, graduation tabloid and newsletters. The books like “100 Pakar UNAIR: Menaburkan Ilmu Pengetahuan untuk Memandirikan Bangsa” and “Ada Apa di UNAIR” were also published by PIH UNAIR.
In the future, UNAIR News is expected to a media whose news is always waited by the readers. (*)
