UNAIR NEWS – There are eleven Universitas Airlangga’s Student Creativity Program (PKM) teams qualifying for the final round in 2017 National Student Science Week (PIMNAS). Last Saturday, August 5, coordination and preparation meeting was held between PKM team and Student Affairs officials.
This year’s PIMNAS is going to be held in Universitas Muslim Indonesia (UMI) Makassar, Sulawesi Selatan, August 23-28, 2017. From 134 PKM proposals funded by Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education, eleven of them qualified.
The qualifying proposals were in category of Invention(PKM-KC), Community Service(PKMM), and Exacta Research (PKM-PE), each of them three titles. There is also Written Idea (PKM-GT) category.
The coordination was led by Student Affairs Supervising Team (TPK) UNAIR, such as Dr. Eduardus Bimo Aksono, drh., M.Kes, Dr. Prihartini Widiyanti, drg., M.Kes., Pulung Siswanto, SKM., M.Kes, and Kustiawan Tri Pursetyo, S.Pi., M.Vet. The Director of Student Affairs UNAIR Dr. M. Hadi Shubhan, SH., MH., CN also attended the meeting.
Dr. Bimo Aksono, who is also one of the judges in PIMNAS, PKM teams should make serious preparations for the main event, including their presentations. They should show their research excellence and minimize mistakes.
”Most importantly, meet all requirements of Dikti, for instance, don’t be late to upload the final reports and articles, it should be uploaded before August 13, 2017 at 23.59,” stated Dr. Bimo Aksono, who is also the Secretary of Information and Public Relations Center (PIH) UNAIR.
Pulung Siswanto, SKM., M. Kes and Kustiawan Tri Pursetyo, S.Pi., M.Vet., also gave similar advice, especially the one related to PKM posters. Head of PKM should not be late to upload the poster in the right format at the latest on August 21, 2017 at 23.59.
Universitas Airlangga’s PKM teams will be sent off by UNAIR Rector on Tuesday August 22 at 14.00 with a ceremony on the first floor of Management Office Building Campus C Jl. Mulyorejo Surabaya. The next day, they will leave for Makassar by air. (*)
