UNAIR NEWS – Becomes part of Universitas Airlangga makes Sam Sam Eka Bada, a fisherman’s son from the coast of Tarakan North Kalimantan, highly motivated to keep learning. His hard work has been paid off by awards as the best graduates of master program from Faculty of Public Health.

A First child from four said that during his study he attempted doing the best in learning process, because it was not easy for him to adapt with the others.

“By sharing information with friends and lecturers, alhamdulillah, I aware about the study of K3 (Occupational Health and Safety/OSH) that I’ve been studying,” He said

A boy who was born in Banyuwangi, on July 19th 1992, has a thesis entitled “Analisis Hubungan Paparan Benzena dan Kadar Trans, Trans Muconic Acid (Tt-Ma) Urin dengan Profil Darah Pengrajin Sepatu di Kelurahan Tambak Oso Wilangun  Surabaya”. (Analysis of Exposure Benzene and Trans Levels, Trans Muconic Acid (Tt-Ma) Urine with Blood  Profile of Shoes craftsmen at Kelurahan Tambak Oso Wilangun Surabaya”.

His background took the research was due to lack of implementation of Occupational Health and Safety awareness for informal sector workers. Therefore, in his thesis focuses on research and workers education.

“Moreover, we also provide counseling about doing safe work for health and provide examples about food formulation that able to reduce toxic substance,” She said

The boy who has hobby enjoying culinary and doing football, has tips to be the outstanding student, for example by studying harder.

“And the most important is we have to keep Habluminallah wal Habluminannas. Insha allah. Everything’s going to be ok,” He said
