UNAIR NEWS – Universitas Airlangga’s excellence in various fields has been a magnet for universities in the world. One of them is Czech University of Life Sciences Prague. On Wednesday, May 10, UNAIR received a visit from Prof. David Herak, Ph.D., as the Vice Dean for International Partnership Faculty of Engineering Czech University of Life Sciences Prague.
In the visit, David said that both UNAIR and Czech University are great universities with similar potentials to develop through partnerships. Some faculties in Czech University are on agriculture, engineering, economics, technology and environment.
“We have a lot of potentials which can be used to establish partnerships with UNAIR. Consistently, we also send students to study in Indonesia,” stated David who also said that Czech University is included in Erasmus Mundus Program.
Held in Assembly Room A, Management Office Building UNAIR, it was received by Vice Rector III UNAIR Prof. Mochammad Amin Alamsjah, Ir., M.Si., Ph.D. In his address, Prof. Amin said that UNAIR is always open to other universities to establish partnerships in various fields.
“Our university always establishes partnerships on research, student and staff exchange,” he said.
In response to David’s statement, the professor of Faculty of Fisheries and Marine also emphasized that even though UNAIR does not have engineering faculty, it provides engineering education. Prof. Amin also emphasized that UNAIR is also included in Erasmus Mundus.
“We have Biomedical engineering program which integrates the study to medical engineering,” said Prof. Amin.
There were representatives from Faculty of Science and Technology and Faculty of Fisheries and Marine UNAIR as this visit emphasized on collaboration with some faculties in UNAIR. (*)
