UNAIR NEWS – As many as 134 proposal titles from Students Creativity Program  (PKM) Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR) passed funding selection by the Directorate General of Study and Student Affairs, Ministry of Research, Technology, and Higher Education. The result was announced through the website of Kemenristekdikti on Thursday (9/3).

Responding the selection result, UNAIR Students Affair Director, Dr. M. Hadi Subhan admitted that he was joyful. Hadi said, the number of proposal’s title from PKM UNAIR which passed funding selection was the fourth highest in Indonesia. In total, UNAIR students sent 1,360 titles.

“Last year we passed 167 proposals, and this year 134. The number of proposals granted this year (from different universities) is declining. But compared in term of position, we are two steps higher based on funding selection result,” explained Hadi.

Details of the PKM’s 134 passed proposal titles are: 43 titles on Entrepreneurship, 18 on Will and Creation, 22 on Public Service, 41 on Science Research, 9 on Social Humanism and Applied Research, and 1 on Technology.

After having been declared that they passed the selection, Hadi hoped the students who joined PKM would improve the research topic being discussed. In addition, he suggested that the students examine the standard format of PKM writing set by Kemenristekdikti.

“We have to follow PIMNAS guidance and direction. What are the technical provisions that have to be met? Verification format, for example, has to be in concordance with the provision. It has to be legalized by the Director of Students Affair. When writing the proposal, you have to use Times New Roman 12 font,” added Hadi.

To make more PKM proposals pass PIMNAS selection, the Directorate of UNAIR Students Affair will do four things to realize the target. Number one, internal consolidation. Two, when the students haven’t received monthly research fund from Dikti, UNAIR will advance research fund to students. Number three, UNIAR will monitor and evaluate (money) internally three times before moving to external money. Four, special supervision from experts from each PKM.

Internal money was planned to be done in March and April, while external money will be done in May and June. Whereas THE 30th PIMNAS will be held in August in Makassar, South Sulawesi.

This 2017, winning the Adhikarta Kertawidya trophy is UNAIR’s target. A year before, in 2016, UNAIR snatched third winner at the 29th PIMNAS at Institut Pertanian Bogor. Then, UNAIR team collected 8 gold medals, 3 silvers, and 1 bronze medal.
