Asked about his expertise, Gunawan said that he conducts pharmaceutical analysis so the drugs’ quality is guaranteed. “The job of a pharmacist is to create and develop drugs. It should be done as best, cheap and effective as possible. Therefore, pharmaceutical or chemical analysis from every drug produced is needed so it has guaranteed quality. Conducting chemical or pharmaceutical analysis may be easy but to get valid results of analysis is not easy,” said Gunawan.
In Research Gate, a social networking website for scientific collaboration, he actively discusses and supports various research topics with scientists around the world.
“In Research Gate, I can help and learn from other scientist around the world. By answering questions and having discussions, I get a lot of knowledge. By answering questions, I share knowledge and improve the science,” he added.
The professor born in Kediri added that, hundreds of researches he published have been used as textbooks in colleges.
In the future, this field of science has great prospects as Indonesia is a country wealth of plants and natural resources potentials for drugs development. (*)
