Postgraduate School Collects Rp 13 Million for Flood Victims in Bima

UNAIR NEWS – Hardships and difficulties of Bima flood victims  have moved some students. Student Association of Postgraduate School (HIMASEPA) Universitas Airlangga has held an acoustic live music charity concert. It was the main event of their fund raising event for Bima on January 3.

The fund raising was done through fund transfer, wired and manual and also charity concert. From the fund raising, Rp 13,930,828 and 35 boxes of used clothes were ready to send.

Dimas Agung Trisliatanto as the Head of HIMASEPA said that the fund raising event has been started since last year on Desember 26 2016 to be exact and they collaborated with other universities for it.

“Started from December 26, 2016, the committee has made the preparations for this event. Not long after that, we held the fund raising. Collaboration was not only in the internal campus but also with other universities, such as Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember,” explained Dimas.

One man will bring one change but together we bring a lot of changes. It was stated by the Director of Postgraduate School Prof. Dr. Sri Iswati SE., M.Si., Ak., who was also present for the occasion.

“Shared concern will bring benefits for the victim,” he said.

Beautiful sound of music echoes in front of the Postgraduate School. A love song opened the charity concert. Not only the students enjoyed it, the officials and staff also participated.

Prof. Sri sang a song, Simfoni yang Indah, as she also encouraged the audience to donate. Furthermore, the Postgraduate students also participated to sing from a song like Justin Bieber’s Love Yourself  to a local pop song called Dia by Anji.

Next, the fund raised will be donated to the victims of the flood in Bima. Dimas added that, his unit was coordinating with Bima Regency administration regarding the distribution. (*)
