UNAIR NEWS – Universitas Airlangga has determined to always safeguard the people to get justice and prosperity. It was stated by UNAIR Rector Prof. Dr. Moh. Nasih, SE., MT., Ak., CMA, in his official address for Public Lecture by National Police Chief (Kapolri) General Drs. M. Tito Karnavian, M.A., Ph.D., on Thursday, December 29. Beside hundreds of students attending, there was also the Mayor of Surabaya, Dr. (H.C) Ir. Tri Rismaharini, M.T.
The public lecture was held in Garuda Mukti Hall, Management Office Building Campus C and titled “Roles and Policy of Polri in Maintaining National Unity in the Diversity of Indonesia”. Prof. Nasih said that UNAIR has committed to safeguard the Republic of Indonesia.
“We never think one bit without NKRI. NKRI is absolute,” he said.
According to the professor of FEB, there is should be a shared vision among the people on issues of Indonesia, so there will be advancement and development in Indonesia.
As the main speaker in the public lecture, Tito said that conflict happened because of different interests. “Therefore, all common interests should be improved and different interests should be reduced,” he said.
“Indonesia is a nation with a lot of differences in backgrounds and interests, but we must remain solid,” he added.
Regarding the public lecture in UNAIR, Tito was proud as he could share important matters in UNAIR as one of the best universities in Indonesia. “I’m proud that I can share important matters here in this important campus and one of the best in Indonesia,” he said.
From the lecture, Prof. Nasih appreciated for the opportunity given to hold the public lecture to preserve integrity of Indonesia.
“I’d like to express my appreciation to Kapolri who could come and give the public lecture,” he said. “Let us together safeguard and develop the integrity of Republic of Indonesia,” he added. (*)
