‘Hospital Tour’ Public Health Program to RS Yasmin Banyuwangi

UNAIR NEWS – To learn the science even extensively, it is not enough to learn it theoretically. Therefore, in order to improve academic quality and understanding on the subject, students of Public Health PDD UNAIR Banyuwangi held a hospital tour in Yasmin Hospital Banyuwangi on Thursday December 8.

According to Diasanto Prayoga SKM.,M.Kes, the lecturer of Hospital and Community Helath Center (Puskesmas) Administration (ARSPKM) PDD UNAIR Banyuwangi, it was the third visit made by third semester students of Public Health program for field study. Before this there was a visit to Health Agency of Banyuwangi and PT Nippon Indosari  Corpindo Tbk Pasuruan for Occupational Health and Safety and environmental health.

“Different from before, this activity is aimed to understand the information system and administrative management applied online in Yasmin Hospital Banyuwangi, one of the private hospitals in Banyuwangi which is reputable for its technology and management system,” said Prayogo.

According to Syifa’ul Lailiyah, a lecturer of ARSPKM in third semester, through this kind of visit theory learned in class can be understood better. The learning process becomes interesting and comfortable. Furthermore, the intensity to understand professional world is even greater as well. This visit gave a learning reference for students so they can be successful in the future.

Explained by Saughy, the manager of RS Yasmin, the visit made him proud as the hospital was chosen for the visit for PDD UNAIR Banyuwangi students to learn. He hoped that it can be done continuously.

A participant, Inriza Yuliandari, said that a lot of lessons learned from the activity such as online pharmacy working system mechanism, swift service guarantee, clown service for children and perinatology souvenirs like photographs, babybooks and calendars for maternal patients. (*)
