UNAIR NEWS – Final exam in the end of the semester is not always be held by doing tests in classes or writing essays. Students sometimes are expected to hold an exhibition according to the course they take.
This kind of activity was done by students of D3 Library Technician program, Faculty of Vocational Studies, Universitas Airlangga. They will hold an exhibition as a requirement to finish the course on Archiving Service courses. PSTP students will hold “Archiving Service Exhibition” from Monday to Wednesday, Deember 19-21 in Vocation Hall, Faculty of Vocational Studies.
In the exhibition, 43 students of class 2015 will be divided into 7 groups of themes. Every group will exhibit archives such as photographs, miniatures, and cultural scripts. There will be cultural archives from Blitar, Yogyakarta, Surabaya, Lamongan, Kediri, Tuban, and Gresik.
Roza Nimas Aprilia Harmanto as the public relations staff of the exhibition said that the participants will present cultural archives in turns for three days. There will be special exhibitions of each culture, such as original jaranan from Kediri, and tadarusan from Tuban.
To make the event livelier, the exhibition will be opened with an epic or traditional dance. There will also be acoustic musical performances, barongan, fashion show and also story-telling.
“On the first day, the exhibition will start at eight until one o’clock in the afternoon. On the second day, it will start at nine until half past one. On the third day, it will start at eight until eleven o’clock,” said Nimas.
The exhibition is opened for public. Make sure you come and enjoy the cultural exhibition!
