UNAIR NEWS – There will be a new road in Campus C Universitas Airlangga. It is expected to be finished in the next three months and it can be used by then. It was built behind the Management Office Building and it will be laid from the side of Archive Building, through the back of sport center to the car park on the left of the secretariat of Universitas Terbuka (UT).
”The objective of making a new access road is to improve the traffic if there is some big events like graduation,” said Karnaji, S.Sos., M.Si., Director of Facilities and Infrastructure UNAIR during interview with unair.news, on Thursday, December 1.
When the road finishes, when there is a big event which has to cut access in ACC, then the traffic can be directed to this alternative road.
The plan, from the main gate, vehicles are directed to the right of Archive Building, then turn left to the new road, through the back of car park, Student Center (SC), the new construction site for Faculty of Pharmacy (FF) building, the back of the sport center or also the opposite route. And the other alternative can through the Management Office Building until CC.

According to the Director of Facilities and Infrastructure UNAIR, the new access road will be a temporary access as this new access was only firmed with sand and gravel so it is representative. The road is not tarred or paved.
It is temporary because in the master plan of UNAIR Campus C, there will be a road which connects with the twin road in the east, then there will be another access to new development building in UNAIR Campus C.
”But it can’t be done now, as the land ownership is still managed. Later if all certificates acquired and become property, then we can perform the land swap with the developer,” said the lecturer of FISIP UNAIR.
As this news published, the work is being done, the land is made flat. Some holes were also buried with the gravel and they used to be field and fish pond. It is still being built. (*)
