UNAIR NEWS – Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Universitas Airlangga and Pacitan Administration was signed on Thursday, December 1. There were officials from both institutions. The collaboration covers the University Tri Dharma, especially to develop the potentials in fishery and animal husbandry.
Pacitan Regent Drs Indartato M.M said that UNAIR as a reputable university has excellent human resources and he also said that Pacitan has great potentials in fishery and animal husbandry.
“Pacitan has potentials in animal husbandry and fishery. Hopefully, they can improve the locals’ prosperity as if they are developed by the experts, they will develop well,” he said.
It is the first time Pacitan Administration held a collaboration with UNAIR. Hopefully it can be maintained for a long period of time to achieve significant results. After the signing, technically, the related parties will communicate further so the MoU will stop at the signing session.
“If the lecturers and competent human resources work on it, I’m sure Pacitan will change. Hopefully it can be implemented soon and the people can really get the benefits,” he said.
The signing session was attended by UNAIR Rector Prof. Dr. Moh. Nasih, SE., MT., Ak., CMA, Vice Rector I, II, and III, Director of Finance, Director of Student Affairs, Director of Information System Directorate, Dean of Faculty of Veterinary Medicine (FKH), Director of Facilities and Infrastructure, Dean of Faculty of Fisheries and Marine (FPK) and the Head of Information and Public Relations Center (PIH).
From Pacitan administration, there were Pacitan regent, Head of Maritime Agency, Secretary of Bapeda, Head of Park Agency and other officials. (*)
