UNAIR NEWS – To maintain its excellent reputation for the number of students admitted in Universitas Airlangga in 2017 academic year, 216 students class XII of SMA Negeri 1 Kabupaten Gresik, visited UNAIR on Monday, November 21. The main objective was to know directly the process of student admission, either nationally (SNMPTN and SBMPTN) or the internal one (Independent admission).
Supervising directly was the headmaster of the school Drs. Suswanto, MM.. He said that he was proud that last year his school was fourth with the most students admitted in UNAIR.
As we all know, the first place was SMA Negeri 5 Surabaya (166 students), the second was SMA Negeri 2 Surabaya (155 students), and the third was SMA Negeri 15 Surabaya (132 students), while SMA Negeri 1 Gresik was fourth with 128 students admitted in UNAIR.
”Therefore, more than two third of our class XII students want to make inquiry as detailed as possible, from A to Z, on how UNAIR manages its student admission. So we’ll get a good picture and we will, hopefully, able to take more students to be admitted in UNAIR,” said Enny Suryantari, SPd, Vice Headmaster who was also coming.

The great interest to get into UNAIR was seen during the discussion. There were eleven students asking questions in three sessions to the speaker from Student Admission Center (PPMB) UNAIR Drs. Imam Siswanto, M.Si. The questions were about academic achievements, non academic certificate of achievements, Science and Social departments and GPA of alumni, etc.
Before them, hundreds of students of SMA Negeri IV Bojonegoro, November 9, was received in Airlangga Convention Center and Madrasah Aliyah Ma’arif NU Assa’adah Gresik, November 7 was received in Student Center (SC). Their objective was the same, to know directly and early on about student admission information in UNAIR for 2017 academic year. (*)
