UNAIR NEWS – In the same euphoria of 62nd Dies Natalis of Universitas Airlangga, on Friday, November 11, hundreds of students from three cities visited the biggest university in eastern part of Indonesia.

There were about 700 students and supervising teachers from three different cities crowded Garuda Mukti Hall, Management Office Building Campus C UNAIR. They were from SMAN 1 Kesamben Blitar, SMAN 2 Wonogiri, and SMAN 3 Surabaya.

The visiting groups were received by UNAIR officials from Student Admission Center (PPMB) Drs. Imam Siswanto, M.Si and Information and Public Relations Center (PIH)  Dr. drh. Eduardus Bimo Aksono H, M.Kes.

“We visit UNAIR to inquire more about UNAIR and to provide information for our students related to UNAIR,” said one of the coordinators of SMAN 2 Wonogiri.

There was something different from this visit. The number of students visiting was more than usual. A staff of PIH UNAIR Hedy Diah Syahputri, S.Ikom, recorded that there were about 700 students received at the same time when usually there are only 300 to 500 students.

“This visit was the biggest from all visits made by senior high school students. There was no seats left,” she said.

After the speeches, all students were directed to IRIEx (Indonesian Research and Innovation Expo) which was held since Thursday, November 10, in Airlangga Convention Center. All students seemed enthusiastic when they visited the stands in IRIEx. (*)
