UNAIR NEWS – Universitas Airlangga is being one of universities collaborating with the Indonesian Military’s Staff and Command School (Sesko TNI). It is all because of UNAIR reputation and it’s a accreditation.
It was stated by the Commander of Sesko TNI Lieutenant General TNI Agus Sutomo during his meeting with UNAIR Rector and UNAIR officials. In the meeting, there was an MoU signing between both institutions on Monday, November 7 in Rector’s room, Management Office Building UNAIR.
Agus said that the collaboration was established to improve human resources of UNAIR and Sesko TNI. As both education institutions, they shared similar responsibilities to manage and educate quality human resources. So, a synergy between TNI and UNAIR regarding education, research and community service is needed.
“Later they can take master and doctoral programs anywhere as we have already had the legal protection,” said Agus.
Regarding the collaboration, UNAIR Rector Prof. Dr. M. Nasih, S.E., M.T., Ak., said that it was accepted as a part of University Tri Dharma. According to UNAIR Rector, it was established in order to develop the nation’s intellectual and to protect the nation.
“University is a house of academicians, so we can be involved in developing characters of young generation, especially students. We believe, in Indonesia, latest development showed that guardian we can count on to develop Indonesian characters is TNI,” said Prof. Nasih. (*)
