UNAIR NEWS – Every year, Universitas Airlangga through Quality Assurance Board (BPM) holds management review meeting. In the meeting attended by all officials of university, faculties, departments, boards, institutes, directorates and centers of UNAIR, quality assurance is discussed.
According to Head of BPM, Prof. Dr. Bambang Sektiari Lukiswanto, DEA., drh., on Monday, October 31, the meeting is compulsory after policies on quality has been established. Beside the policies, points discussed were about quality guideline, targets, implementation of quality policies and evaluation from the audit.
“Evaluation from the audit is used as review result, then related policies, resources, existing facilities, future plans based on risk mapping and opportunity is presented in the meeting,” said the Head of BPM UNAIR.
Based on Airlangga Integrated Management System (AIMS) held from September 13 to October 21, there are a lot of things need to be improved. Even though improvements are still expected, most of working units have reached the level of excellent leader. Excellent leader level is the highest achievement level of AIMS.
After the internal audit, then all units of university and faculties, will go through external audit. The external audit is organized by external auditing board with capacity to audit system and conformity.
Regarding the audit, Prof. Bambang said that it is only a way to measure performance. Nevertheless, performance improvement should be promoted. “As quality has already been custom and applied in daily operations,” he added. (*)
