UNAIR NEWS – Public Fair is organized to celebrate 62nd Dies Natalis of Universitas Airlangga. There are 320 stands ready to sell their products to visitors on Saturday and Sunday, November 5 and 6 in Campus C UNAIR.
The coordinator of the event Dr. Abdul Samik, M.Si., drh, said that the stands are from any elements, UNAIR academicians or non-UNAIR. From UNAIR internal, there are some faculties offering their products. Some of them are Dharmawanita, Geliat, and Health Service Center (PLK). From outside UNAIR, there are stands of City Administrations, Industrial and Trade Agency, Logistics Agency (Bulog).
“There are public’s stands selling clothes and nine main commodities,” said Samik.
The products they offer also various, from clothes, food and drinks, main commodities, to health service. From Geliat stand, they are holding health check-up for mothers and children. From PLK, the are giving free health check-ups.
As planned, UNAIR Rector Prof. Dr. M. Nasih, S.E., M.T., Ak, will open the fair on Saturday at 8 o’clock in the morning while on Sunday, it will start at 6 simultaneously with morning calisthenics. It will end at 9 in the evening.
“To draw people interests, the committee will distribute the fish UNAIR reared to the visitors free of charge to lucky consumers in Public Fair,” said Samik.
In the fair, there will be a coloring competition for 500 kindergarten students and the committee prepares a family photo stand.
The public fair itself is part of Airlangga Fiesta for 62nd Dies Natalis celebration of Universitas Airlangga. Beside Public Fair, Airlangga Fiesta also has Social Service, Great Harvest, Healthy Indonesia Seminar, Fire Emergency Training and Adventure and Remote Medicine Symposium. (*)
