UNAIR NEWS – Universitas Airlangga nows well how to show its existence. Beside conducting various international collaborations, some neighboring countries also collaborated with UNAIR. On Thursday, October 17, UNAIR received a visit from the Minister of Social specialized to Education of Timor Leste.
Vice Rector III UNAIR, Prof. H. Ir. Moch. Amin Alamsjah, Ph.D., said that Timor Leste government visit was to follow up the Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) agreed before. It was about a collaboration to receive 16 bachelor program students from Timor Leste to study in UNAIR.
“The16 S1 students will study in 3 different programs, Psychology, Public Health and Statistics,” said Prof. Amin.
The professor of FPK UNAIR alsi said that prior to this collaboration, Timor Leste has sent 16 master program students to learn in UNAIR. “This is the first for bachelor program,” added Prof. Amin.
Collaboration between UNAIR and Timor Leste Government was not about Education only, as after the meeting, Prof. Amin also said that previous collaboration was related to research involving ITD UNAIR.
“To collaborate with ITD they needed our help to identify corpses,” he said.
Prof. Amin said that this collaboration showed UNAIR’s contribution and he was proud as UNAIR was trusted by other country. (*)
