The meeting was opened by the Director of Student Affairs UNAIR M. Hadi Subhan Dr., SH., MH., C.N. and then followed with strategic plan presentation by Head of BPP Badri Munir Sukoco, S.E., MBA., Ph.D.
In his presentation, Badri emphasized on strategy maps, UNAIR strategic plan 2016-2020 in four perspectives. The four perspectives were finance, stakeholders, internal business process and growth and learning perspective. From those four perspectives, internal business process perspective was elaborated more as it relates to the students’ roles directly.
This perspective emphasized the importance of students’ role as the agent of change in the effort to improve quality of community services. There are plenty community service activities performed by UNAIR. But, they must be improved as the scope is still local, not national. This is why the strategic plan publicization is important in order to publicize the community service spirits to student organizations.
Beside, other thing under the spotlight is alumni management. UNAIR has at least 160,000 alumni, but the data of the alumni managed well has not been complete yet. Cooperation of all alumni is needed to achieve completion of the data.
UNAIR Rector Prof. Dr. H. Mohammad Nasih, MT., SE., Ak said that, synergy was needed by all academicians of UNAIR including students as a way to build reputation of university.
“Reputation of a university, does not only depend on the management, lecturers or alumni. But all academicians including students must contribute actively in building the reputation or this university,” said Prof. Nasih.
“If there is even one part which does not move, the journey of this university will not be perfect,” he said.
The publicization was closed with a signing sessions as contracts of their supports through programs’ synergy to achieve Top 500 WUR, by all officials and student organizations. (*)
