UNAIR NEWS – Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR) as one of universities with excellent reputation and achievement, either in academic or non-academic aspect has become a university most Indonesian high school students want to go, including SMA Progresif Bumi Sholawat visiting UNAIR on Tuesday, October 4.
The visit from the school based in Sidoarjo was followed by 13 students of Class 12. The head of the group, Abdurrahman Falahi said that the visit was special for students who want to continue study in UNAIR, while other students visited their desired universities.
Falahi, known as Afa added that the visit was an important part for future development, not only for the students but also for the school which will graduate its first batch in 2017/2018, so they need to prepare and seek information on universities.
“So our school has 3 generations. This students will be the first batch graduated from our school, so we think we need to introduce them to Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR) Admission mechanism, it will be an important lesson for us in the future,” added Afa in his speech.
In the event, the students of SMA Progresi Bumi Sholawat were really enthusiastic to get information presented by UNAIR, especially on student admission system from SNMPTN, SBMPTN and Independent channel. Imam Siswanto, M.Si.,as the representative of Student Admission Center (PPMB) suggested the teachers and students of SMA Progresi Bumi Sholawat not to rely on SNMPTN because the school is still new.
