UNAIR NEWS – Academicians of Faculty of Dentistry (FKG) Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR) established another collaboration with Japanese university. This time it was with Niigata University, Japan.
Vice Dean III FKG UNAIR Ketut Suardita, drg., Sp.KG (K)., Ph.D, on behalf of the Dean signed the Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with the Dean of FKG Niigata University Takeyasu Maeda. The MoA signing was done in Assembly Room of FKG UNAIR on Monday, October 3.
The MoA signing was also attended by Vice Dean of FKG Niigata University Katsumi Uoshima, Director of Dental and Oral Health Hospital Prof. RM. Coen Pramono D., drg., SU., Sp.BM (K), and some other FKG UNAIR professors.
“What can be done soon is student exchange program. It can be us which sends students to Niigata or they send theirs to FKG UNAIR. But the exchange students program was short term one, like in 10 days,” said Suardita.
According to Takeyasu, his university was interested to collaborate with FKG UNAIR as it has excellent quality. Furthermore, the collaboration is done to improve the education quality between the universities.
The programs of the collaboration are student and researcher exchange, and research collaboration. The programs will be implemented gradually.
Vice Dean III FKG UNAIR Suardita explained that it will be held gradually next year. For the student exchange program will be done for 14 days at most. (*)
