UNAIR NEWS – “Grand Opening Alquran Reciting Training” held in Airlangga Convention Center (ACC) Campus C UNAIR on Sunday, September 11, was the first annual program held for muslim students.
In a white shirt, UNAIR Rector Prof. Dr. Moh. Nasih, SE., MT., Ak., CMA., with Director of Student Affairs Dr. M. Hadi Shubhan., S.H., M.H., CN., supervisor of Islamic UKM (UKMKI) Dr. Mustofa Helmi Effendi., DTAPH., drh., and the Head of Islamic Course management (PJMK) I Sunan Fanani, S.Ag., M.Pd.I., In his speech, Prof. Nasih said that with PBA program, Alquran will not be a reading materials, but also to be implemented in life. Prof. Nasih also said that the students attending were already deemed as santri.
“As of today, you all have been santri of Airlangga who studies Alquran,” he said.
There were not only UNAIR academicians who attended the opening, the Head of Nurul Falah Foundation Surabaya, Drs. H. Umar Jaeni., M.Pd., was also present to give a speech on how important Alquran in life, as the students will be leaders in the future.
“Insya Allah you all are students of Universitas Airlangga who will be leaders, so be leaders who implement Alquran,” he said.
There were also various activities in the event, “Grand Opening Pembinaan Baca Alquran”, such as talk show, Islamic art performances, the affirmation of 627 trainers, and pictures of PBA publicization configuration, and placement tests of all 6267 students.
