UNAIR NEWS – To improve services and all administrative affairs in central management of university or faculty, Rector of Universitas Airlangga Prof. Dr. M. Nasih, S.E., M.T., Ak., has a plan to establish a one-stop service unit. It is built so the students and guests can deal with their administrative service with more ease in UNAIR.

UNAIR Rector made the statement after a presentation of “Draft Organization Capital Universitas Airlangga” in Room 301, Friday (9/9). The presentation is attended by high officials of faculties and university.

This bureaucracy innovation is planned as there are some services which demand quality improvements. According to Prof. Nasih, the quality should be improved so everything can run effective and efficient.

“All this time, they stand alone. There is a unit which handles the students IDs, there is a unit handles the photo, finance, permits and many more. It is less effective and efficient. In the future, we expect services which fast. Affordable so customers are pleased,” said Prof. Nasih.

The concept of a one-stop service being developed by the high officials is establishing academic coordinator in each faculty. The plan is the head of academic division will structurally and functionally become the coordinator who is responsible for one-stop service in each faculty.

“In faculties, we have reassigned the head of academic affairs to be coordinator in faculty. They will run the one-stop service in each faculty. All administrative affairs will not require customers to all units. Going to one spot which deals with everything students need is enough. There will one in university management building, an integrated service,” said UNAIR Rector.

“Easy thing about this is, when the alumni want to legalize papers, they are required to go to different units. The documents in the academic, and the payment in the finance unit. Why does it have to go lengthy when all can be done in a one-stop service. This is what we try to develop, so they don’t have to go here and there,” said Prof. Nasih.

In response to UNAIR Rector on one-stop service unit, Head of Information and Public Relations Center (PIH) Drs. Suko Widodo, M.Si, said that he was ready to do management quality improvement on services as needed by the Rector. (*)
