FKM UNAIR Graduates the Hundredth Doctor

UNAIR NEWS – Health Science Doctoral program Faculty of Public Health (FKM)  Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR) graduated its 100th doctor in the open doctoral exam on Tuesday, August 30. The hundredth doctor of FKM is Yessy Dessy Arna who conducted research on community nursing model for the victims of sexual violence.

“The community nursing model I studied was Nir Ketaton based on FCN (Family Centered Nursing), HCS (Health Care System) and Atraumatic Care. Nir Ketaton is spiritual nursing approach.  FCN was nursing model based on family approach, HCS is stress level emphasis concept through strengthen self defense. Community nursing Nir Ketaton was proven decreasing stress level of sexual violence victims,” explained Yessy.

Health Science Doctoral program was established in 2008. It is now presided by Dr. Nyoman Anita Damayanti, drg., M.S. The quota of the program is 30 students each semester, and until now it has graduated 100 students.

“This hundredth graduate is of beautiful cooperation of all academicians in FKM. And it is marked with a modest celebration with tumpeng,” said Nyoman.

The graduates are expected to find new scientific discovery and actively contribute in health science development. The credits of the course they have to take for students with linear study is 48 credits (sks), while non linear is 56 sks. (*)
