UNAIR NEWS – To expand collaborative networking of Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR) with other international universities abroad, alumni existence is the key to successful collaborations. Regarding the matter, International Office and Partnership (IOP) UNAIR is gathering lecturers of UNAIR who were graduated abroad.
In Room Kahuripan 301, Tuesday, August 2, some of the European graduates gathered to discuss institutional collaboration reinforcement. Secretary of IOP, Margaretha Rehulina, M.Sc said that the gathering was important to map potentials of collaborations between UNAIR and European universities.
“Maybe some lecturers or ladies and gentlemen are still in contact with the supervisors, it will be great if we can develop collaborations between UNAIR and the universities where you studies,” said Margaretha to the alumni.
Some UNAIR lecturers in the gathering were from universities in Germany, Holland, France, England and Hungary. After they were gathered based on the continent, they will be divided according to their countries.
In the gathering, they were asked to help in sorting UNAIR lecturers graduated from European universities. They were also asked to map the potentials of collaborations between UNAIR and the universities in Europe.
One of the lecturers graduated from France, Drs. Eto Wuryanto, DEA, welcomed well this forum establishment. According to Eto, who is University of Montpellier II, France graduate, the forum is a gathering place for students in the same region. Furthermore, the collaborations will be categorized based on the meeting of each country.
The alumni gathering of each region will be used to reinforce collaboration among institutions. After this gathering of European countries’ alumni, there will be another forums of alumni from Australia, Japan and America. (*)
