UNAIR NEWS – Indonesian Account Association (IAI) East Java held Halal Bihalal event to celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr 1437 H. It was attended by hundreds of accountants and held in KRT Fadjar notonegoro Hall, Second Floor of Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR) on Friday, July 22.
The Head of IAI East Java, Prof. Dr. Tjiptohadi Sawarjuwono, M.Ec.,Ak.,CPA.,CA., in his address said that he was pleased and thankful for the members concern to attend the event of IAI Jatim’s as through the activity, ties among members would be strengthened.
Similar statement made by Prof. Dr. Dian Agustia, SE., Ak., M.Si. as the Dean of Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR) as well as the host, that he was pleased and thankful for the members’ concern.
For her, the moment to forgive each other, among members of organization should be prioritized. It must be used well to strengthen ties. Prof. Dian Agustia, who is also the Head of Educating Accountant Compartment (KAP) IAI East Java, even said that it should not be done once a year after Lebaran.
“Silaturahmi should be always maintained anytime, not only after Lebaran,” said the professor of Accounting from FEB UNAIR.
In the occasion, there was also a sermon by Dr. K.H. Imam Mawardi, MA. In his sermon, he elaborated that fasting meaning and implementation for moslems. He also talked about ‘respect’ given to people who were fasting which became a commotion last Ramadan related to the operational hours of restaurants, food stalls, entertainment spots and other places.
“After we are tested by fasting, restraining from food, drink and desires for one full month, it is only normal that we are back to be pure and clean. It will be perfect if we forgive each other,” he said.
After the sermon and praying session, they shook hands among themselves, attending members of Indonesian Accountant Association (IAI) East Java and then they enjoyed refreshments. (*)
