The Key: Don’t Consider them Different
Gandi Soni Wicaksono and Dian Eka look as if they never feel tired of taking care of children with special needs (ABK). They have done a lot for them, and their latest dedication was by holding Braille Quran Reciting activity. It utilizes Braille Qur’an and it has been a routine. Every month, some people with sight disability gather in Gandi and Dian’s house in Rungkut Asri. On November 14, 2014, the alumnus of UNAIR started the activity. At first, there were only five people but now there are more than 20 people for each session. The activity even attended by not only the blind but also the deaf. Gandi hoped that Ngaji Braille can improve their confidence. Gandi believes that religion makes an individual tough.

FK Confers 98 Medical Specialists
There were 98 medical specialists conferred in Faculty of Medicine (FK) Hall Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR) yesterday, July 20. It was the 117th conferment. Since 2002, Universitas Airlangga has graduated 2,694 medical specialists. This time, Department of Internal Medicine has graduated the most students with 15 people, followed by Department of Pulmonogy and Repirative Medicine with 12 people, and Department of Radiology with 12 people. Dean of FK UNAIR Prof. Dr. dr. Soetojo, SpU., instructed the medical specialists to always prioritized the patients’ interest.

Looks After Students with Mental Disorder
Grown and brought up in a family worked as medical staff made Vita Ardhani Perwitasari choose Nursing in Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR). During her study, has had field practice in RS. Dr. Soetomo. She looked after some patients with metal disorder. She admitted that she was nervous at first in treating them. She said that the patient’s condition should be monitored. If they are calm, Vita can proceed with the treatment. After graduation, Vita is ready if she has to look after the mental disorder patients.

Reinforce Finance through Bank and Islamic Insurance Synergy
Gresik is a region with strong Islamic values and potentials to expand economic and business in Islam’s perspective. It was discussed in a day seminar held by Universitas Semen Indonesia (UISI) yesterday, July 20. The seminar highlighted financial reinforcement through Islamic banking and insurance synergy.
