UNAIR NEWS – Regine Wiranata or known as Regine never thought of having the highest result for State University Joint Selection Admission(SBMPTN) on social and humanity category. The alumnus of SMA Cita Hati Surabaya was successfully through the test with 842 test score. In the selection, she applied for Faculty of Law  Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR).

As interviewed by UNAIR News on Sunday, July 3, Regine admitted that she had no special preparations to do the SBMPTN test. She studied independently without attending any prep-schools like other participants.

“Actually before the SBMPTN, I had my exam for International Baccalaureate, a program of my school. So, I had limited time to prepare, I studied for SBMPTN two weeks before the test, and I was even surprised with the test as the format was different from last year’s,” said the girl born in Surabaya on May 30, 1998.

Regine admitted that her wish to get into FH UNAIR started from her participation in ALSA Courtlike Debate Championship (ACDC), a debating contest held by FH UNAIR. At that time Regine was still in Class 2 of SMA. Her parents always support her to reach for her dreams.

“My parents are really supportive. They never force me to aim for great achievements but when I aim for something, they always support me,” said Regine on her parents supports for her study.

At the moment, Regine is preparing to complete her registration by collecting the papers and requirements. She admitted that she was sure of her choice to study at FH UNAIR. To prepare for her study at UNAIR, she reads more books to expand her knowledge.

“I read more now, Mostly about national and international news, also books on philosophy and thinkers,” said the girl whose current favorite book was How to Win Friends and Influence People from Dale Carnegie. (*)
