Commersale Vol 3 Brings Festivities on Communication Department Anniversary

UNAIR NEWS  –  To celebrate its 28th anniversary, Department of Communication Science UNAIR held many interesting activities. One of the activities was “Commersale vol 3”. It was held at Atrium Tunjungan Plaza (TP) 2 Surabaya for three days from April 29 to May 1.

“It is interesting because it was a place to applied what they have learned also to get some money, then the money can be used for other activities,” said Dr. Yayan Sakti Suryandaru. S.Sos.,M.Si as the Head of the Department.

To make the event successful, food and fashion were two themes chosen for the events. They were considered to be able to draw people attention, so they were more profitable for the tenants. Natali, one of the tenants in the event said that her revenue was double than the usual she got.

“Eventhough the leasing rate was quite expensive, but we got it back on the first day, we got twice the profit,” said the stand attendant of  “Gincu Addict” at Commersale.

The committee also invited D’Kadoor, a popular intagram users for the guest star to draw more visitors. Unique programs were also held to draw more attention to Atrium TP 2.

“To draw more attention we held many attractions, such as D’Kadoor, drumming compilation of radja, kerispatih and pas band also a beauty class, Surabaya stand up comedy show, also fashion show and photography competition,”  said Dicky Muldian, Head of the Committee of Commersale 2016.

Dicky also said that this year’s Commersale was different than before as it was the first one to be held outside the university, UNAIR.

“This year’s Commersale was quite different as we held it outside campus. We used to hold it in our campus halls. So it was held for public generally,” said the stdent of Communication Science 2014.

He hoped that in the future, Commersale can be the connectors between online shop sellers and buyers. It was based on so many products sold online which causes hesitation to buy.

“In the future, we hope to develop connections with online shops in Surabaya. We want them to have more enthusiasm with the customers,” he said. (*)
