UNAIR NEWS – Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR) internationalization effort in Education is expected to develop and expand. Being a host of a meeting between nine universities from East Java and Ministry of Education of West Australia with five representatives of universities in the state is also a way to expand the collaboration. It is going to be held in Management Office Building Campus C UNAIR next Tuesday, May 3.
According to a staff of International Office and Partnership (IOP) UNAIR, besides UNAIR, there will be nine universities in East Java to attend the meeting. They are Universitas Brawijaya, Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember, Universitas Trunojoyo, Universitas Pembangunan Nasional, Universitas Negeri Surabaya, Universitas Islam Negeri Maulana Malik Ibrahim, Universitas Islam Negeri Sunan Ampel, and Universitas Jember. From West Australia, universities attending are Curtin University, Murdoch University, West Australia University, Edith Cowan University, and Notre Dame University.
From Universitas Airlangga, officials to attend the meeting are UNAIR Rector, Vice Rector UNAIR, Director of Education, Head of Information and Public Relations Center (PIH), Head of Research and Innovation Institute, Board of Planning and Development chairman and the Head of International Office and Partnership.
As planned, there will be two important topics of discussions. First, improvement on academic collaborations with West Australian Universities and to discuss potential cooperations in Education and Research between the universities in West Australian and in East Java.
