UNAIR NEWS – Mata Najwa on Stage held in Airlangga Convention Center (ACC) last Friday, April 17 was really lively especially when the stars of Republik Sentitan Sentilun (Slamet Raharjo, Butet Kertaredjasa, Cak Lontong, and Akbar) got on stage. Their smart jokes were so entertaining even sometimes they slipped some criticism to public officials among their jokes.
“Oh I see, Mas Fadli Zon likes chillies. That’s why his comments always incisive and hostile,” said Butet in front of the politician of Gerindra Party after knowing Fadli Zon likes spicy food. Thousands of audiences laughed and cheered.
Not only Butet, Cak Lontong also shared some jokes. The ITS alumnus said that he found his destined partner just after his arrival in UNAIR campus. “But, as I am a responsible man, after I found it, I returned her to the rightful owner,” he said causing the audiences’ laugh. Not long, he made another joke, “In Surabaya there are many rivers, Kalidami, kali mas, kali jagir, kalijudan, kalikepiting, and so on. There are so many rivers,” he said. “That’s why there are many suro (sharks) and boyo (crocodiles),” replied Sentilan or Slamet Raharjo. “No, ndoro(my lord). That’s not it. Here, there are many rivers. If they are not, then they are less. Two by two equals four. So there are many,” said Cak Lontong.
“Sing tak enteni pancen gojekan Republik Sentilan Sentilun. Isok ngilangne stress (I have been waiting for the jokes from Republik Sentilan Sentilun. They relieve this stressful mind),” said one of the students to his friends nodding their heads agreeing. Indeed, the audiences at the right side of the stage did not stop laughing during Republik Sentilan Sentilun stars’ conversation.(*)
