UNAIR NEWS – Dental and oral diseases always threaten everyone including kids. Moreover, cases of caries still have high prevalence on kids. Therefore, the effort to deal with the disease and dental care should be held routinely. It is aimed to make Indonesian children healthier.

Regarding the matter, Department of Pediatric Dentistry has held some events in pediatric specialist clinic, Dental and Oral Hospital (RSGM) from January to March. There were dental counseling and free check up.

The objective was to introduce dental health to kids. There were about 100 students from kindergartens and elementary schools from many parts of Surabaya.   It was also a form of community service.

“The event was expected to be held annually. We are ready to facilitate all schools in Surabaya,” said the coordinator Mega Moeharyono Putri, drg., Sp.KGA., Ph.D.
