UNAIR NEWS – Despite being the youngest, UKM Religious Arts (SR) dedication is unquestionable. Student club established last January, has successfully made achievements in Grand Festival Rebana Nasional, Simfoni Rebana Negeri held in Bandung. They got second place in Hadroh Al Banjari category.

“We departed on Wednesday, March 23 and back here on Monday. Alhamdulillah, everything ran well,” said Sandi Machmudin, one of the members.

He said that from 14 members sent to Bandung, some of them had hesitated to go. They thought that they were not ready physically, mentally, materially and emotionally. But other members and coordinator convinced them. The result showed quite a performance even though with little limitation. They made it to make an achievement for UNAIR.

The cold atmosphere of Bandung was different from Surabaya. They adapted well especially to prepare their vocals.

“Hopefully this is a good start for us to make achievements for campus and East Java with religious arts,” said Indonesian Literature students. (*)
