Dozens of Companies Offer Jobs and Scholarship at Airlangga Career Fair 2016

UNAIR NEWS – Looking for jobs or scholarships to continue study? Here’s a good news, Universitas Airlangga through its Career and Entrepreneurship Development Center (PPKK) will hold a career fair, “Airlangga Career Fair (ACF) XXVI, Scholarship & Entrepreneur EXPO”, for three days from March 31 to April 2, 2016. This 26th ACF will be held in Airlangga Convention Center (ACC) Campus C UNAIR Jl. Dr. Ir. Soekarno, Mulyorejo, Surabaya.

The Head of PPKK UNAIR Dr. Elly Munadziroh, drg., M.S., interviewed in her office on Thursday, March 24 explained that, there are already 35 companies which want to provide job placements. They are from state-owned companies (BUMN), state regional companies (BUMD), multinational and trusted private companies. There are also 10 companies to be the sponsors of this event, some of them are Bank Indonesia, Bank BTN, Bank BCA Tbk, Askrindo, PT KAI, and Perum Peruri.

”We consistently hold ACF twice a year, after this there will be another ACF in September,” said  Dr. Elly Munadziroh.

Some of the dozens of companies who provide job placements are PT Persadha Pamunah Limbah Industri (PPLi), JNE, PT Sutindo Torrecid Indonesia, Bank CIMB Niaga, Bank Bukopin, PT Wika Ikon, PT Astra International Daihatsu, PT Intrias Mandiri Sejati, PT Salam Pacific Indonesia Line, Gloria Christian School, PT Realfood Winta Asia, Bank BTPN, MPM Distributor, PT Dharma Polimetal, Prasetiya Mulya Business School, PT Supra Surya Indonesia, PT Dharma Lautan Utama, PT Blue Bird Tbk., HM Sampoerna Tbk, PT Mutual Plus Global Resources, PT Siantar Madju.

The lecturer in Faculty of Dentistry (FKG) who has lead PPKK for years hoped that this ACF visitors will be higher than the average of the previous event about 10,000 jobseekers/scholarship seekers. She said that ACF UNAIR few years ago had 16,000 jobseekers visiting.

This time, the visitors of ACF will not come only for jobs but also for scholarships. The presence of institutions which provide scholarships was of cooperation between PPKK, International Affair Center and International Office and Partnership (IOP). Some of them are Edlink+ConneX, SUN Education, IDP, TEC, Caraka Mulia, DAAD, Education USA, AUG Student Services, Japanese General Consulate, and IFI.

”We still give free entry for online registration, so check out,” added Dr. Elly Munadziroh. (*)
