UNAIR NEWS – An assembly of board of Trustees (MWA) from 11 universities acting as legal entity (PTN BH) commenced today, Thursday March 17. Held in Garuda Mukti Hall, UNAIR Management Office, the assembly scheduled for two days was opened by the Chairman of UNAIR Board of Trustees, Sudi Silalahi.

In his official address, Sudi Silalahi explained that the assembly was initiated by MWA UNAIR and MWA IPB after facing similar problems and it should be discussed together among PTN BH.

“Generally, MWA of each PTN BH has similar job, to formulate general policy and supervise its implementation,” Sudi said. Through MWA meetings, efforts to make university as the center of excellence can be started.

In the occasion, he emphasized that to improve university, MWA needs to work well with other university’s foundations such as rector and academic senates to create one synergetic unity.

“This is what differs PTN BH to other universities,’ said the Minister of State Secretary in United Indonesia Cabinet II.

Sudi also hoped that the assembly among the MWA of PTN BH can be scheduled regularly as there are dynamics faced by PTN BH in their efforts to be world class universities.
On the first day, many things related to efforts to achieve world class university such as government supports or MWA roles in this program will be discussed in the assembly. (*)
