UNAIR NEWS – Delegation from Hiroshima University, Japan visited UNAIR on Monday March 7. The delegation consisted of two students, Haruta Azusa and Kinoshita Mayu, and one professor, Prof. Kato Kouichi.
Three of them visited UNAIR Rector Room accompanied by the Dean of UNAIR Faculty of Dentistry, Dr. R. Darmawan Setijanto, drg., M.Kes, and Vice Dean III FKG, Ketut Suardita, drg., Ph.D., Sp.KG. The delegation was welcomed by Vice Rector III UNAIR, Prof. Moch. Amin Alamsjah, Ir., M.Si., Ph.D, and the Head of International Office and Partnership David Segoh S.S., M.Ed.
Dean of FKG UNAIR, Darmawan, said that the students were in student exchange program. Haruta and Kinoshita will study at FKG UNAIR for the next ten days.
“They are in UNAIR for the student exchange program. It last for 10 days. During their stay, they will study in class and learn about Indonesian culture,” he said.
Prof. Kato Kouichi itself will be a visiting professor in FKG UNAIR. For a week, Prof. Kato will give lectures in classes, workshop on Scopus indexed international journal composition, and prepare for collaborative research between UNAIR and Hiroshima University.
“Profesor Kato is hired for three months. But right now he will teach for a week first. He will teach, give guidance to international publication, to prepare collaborative research proposal between UNAIR and Hiroshima. We have target to publish more indexed Scopus international journals,” Darmawan added. (*)
