UNAIR NEWS – To support UNAIR’s efforts to be a world class university, faculty improvements are indispensable. Faculty of Economics and Business is aware of its essential role and always improves quality to be acknowledged at international level.
On Wednesday, March 2, Maanagement Master Program FEB UNAIR achieved international accreditation from ABEST21 (The Alliance on Business Education and Scholarship for Tomorrow, a 21st century organization). Acknowledgement from a business school accreditation institution was directly accepted from the ABEST21 President Prof. Fumio Itoh to the Dean of FEB UNAIR, Prof. Dian Agustia accompanied by ABEST21 Accreditation Task Force Team leader and its members from Department of Management, Dr. Sri Gunawan and Nuri Herachwati MSi. in Tokyo, Japan. Indonesian Ambassador for Japan, Yusron Ihza Mahendra was also present in the occasion.
FEB UNAIR applied for the accreditation in 2014, after being a member of ABEST21 in 2013. The effective period of accreditation is five years starting on April 1 2016.
Vice Dean I FEB UNAIR, Dr. Rudi Purwono was pleased with this achievement.
“With this accreditation, FEB UNAIR graduates will be acknowledged at international level,” he said. He added that in the near future FEB UNAIR will also apply for AUN-QA accreditation for its bachelor programs.
Before ABEST 21 Accreditation, FEB UNAIR was also named in the best five faculty of economics and business in Indonesia by Eduniversal Business School Ranking. The university ranking institution based in Paris, France has named FEB UNAIR in the fifth place after FEB UI, IPMI International Business School, SBM ITB, and FEB UGM. FEB UNAIR was predicated as local reference with strong global influence. (*)
