Yemeni Student Continues Study in UNAIR

UNAIR NEWS – From all master and doctoral students confirmed by UNAIR Rector Prof. Dr. Moh Nasih, MT., Ak, last Thursday, there was a student from Yemen confirmed as a doctoral student. He was Abdulrahman Taresh Abdulghani, S.E., M.SE.

Known as Abdul, the student was confirmed in Economic Studies from Faculty of Economics and Business on Thursday, February 11. The Yemeni student was also awarded a scholarship from Indonesian Planning and Cooperation of Foreign Affairs Bureau (BKPLN) in 2015.

Abdul said that UNAIR is one of the best universities in Indonesia, also the best campus in East Java, it was the reason for him to study in UNAIR. He also feels at home to study in UNAIR as he also studied his master degree in UNAIR.

“I feel that the education and the management of UNAIR is good, from the staff to the directors who handle the education process. They have served foreign students well. UNAIR lecturers are patient in explaining the lesson to me. I have also learned Indonesian language, so I took both master and doctoral degree here,” said Abdul who got Developing Countries Partnership (KNB) scholarship.

During his study in UNAIR, Abdul worked on his research thesis on ASEAN+5. Later in doctoral program, he will focus on Indonesian Planning and Development in Indonesia. “I think Indonesian developmental pace in Indonesia was unequal,” said the new student of doctoral degree on Economic Sciences FEB UNAIR.
