UNAIR NEWS – Global Experience Fair (GEF) is an annual event hosted by National University of Singapore (NUS). GEF 2016 was their second time event. It was held from January 18 to January 20 giving opportunities to partner universities, industries and companies to offer joint-research programs, internships and short courses for NUS students.
Every year, the campus, which is located at Kent Ridge, sends about 1,500 – 2,000 students to go out of Singapore, for short course (summer course) or student exchange programs.
Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR) took part in this event. If last year, UNAIR only sent delegation from Faculty of Culture, this year there are more representatives and offered programs are more complete.
The attending representatives were from education directorate, Institute of Tropical Disease (ITD), International Office and Partnership (IOP), vices dean III, Faculty Ambassador, and representatives from six faculties (Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Dentistry, Faculty of Economics and Business, Faculty of Pharmacy, Faculty of Public Health and Faculty of Social and Political Science).
“UNAIR objective attending this event was to expand its cooperative network or networking,” a Staff of International Education Program, Dr.rer.nat. Maria Lucia Ardhani Dwi Lestari, Apt. said.
GEF was attended by at least 30 partner universities and companies of NUS. It a great opportunity for UNAIR to go international. Also, to expand its faculties and ITD’s network. Generally, it was a real step to provide service for the global world. (*)
