UNAIR NEWS – Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR) with its Information and Public Relations Center, again welcome some senior high schools on Monday, January 11. Their reception was held at Assembly Hall 1 of Institute of Tropical Disease (ITD) UNAIR . It was attended by 44 students from SMAN Ngoro, Jombang; 25 students from SMAN Tanjunganom, Nganjuk; and 84 students from SMAN 1 Bekasi. They are divided into two sessions in the morning and in the afternoon.
To represent SMAN Ngoro, Drs. Sugioto explained some things regarding their visit to UNAIR. He expected some accurate information about freshmen admission process and faculties and departments offered by the university.
“I expect some complete information and authentic from the source itself for my students,” he said.
Similar with Sugioto, Drs. Ade Burhanuddin from SMAN 1 Bekasi said that other than to affirm ties with UNAIR, his school was also wanted to inquire some information on the admission process from the university which now in its 61 years since establishment.
Enthusiasm seen from the students, when they listen to various material on UNAIR. They were also informed about the new students’ admission process by Student Admissions Centre (PPMB) UNAIR. There were many students asking about job opportunities after studying at UNAIR, the tuition fee at UNAIR, and also about the competition to get into each department.
“I am grateful with this visit because it helped me a lot with the information. So many questions I had had regarding SNMPTN and SBMPTN and this visit answered them,” said Mulya Abdillah, one of the students of SMAN Ngoro from social class which enjoyed his first visit to UNAIR. (*)
